I have confusing results this week. First off, I expected to gain a couple of pounds at the weigh-in this morning. I've been off-plan most of the week. No workouts, and a number of slips at the dinner table. Yet I was blow away this morning when I posted a three pound loss (3.2 lbs)! I'm now at 266 lbs!
To what can I attribute this stunning result?
Not my calorie intake (on-plan only about four days out of seven).
Not my workouts (I missed them all this past week).
Standing at my desk? Possibly. Active.com would allow me to change my base activity level from "sedentary" to "lightly active". I just don't want to give myself the few hundred extra calories the higher activity level would allow--I surely would consume them.
Sleep? Possibly. Over the past few nights, I've gotten more sleep than I have been getting--closer to a full night's sleep. From previous experiences, I do know that a lack of sleep causes me to pack on the pounds.
So, what started as a head-hanging day (under the assumption I had gained) has turned out to be an unexpectedly amazing day. Now let's see if I can leverage this new burst of "feel good" into getting back on plan, and staying there!
